Behavioral thresholds to vibrations in Monochamus alternatus. Startle response (twitch movements) and stridulation from a standstill were categorized as behavioral responses to pulsed sine waves with different frequencies and amplitudes. Thresholds (mean ± SEM) with the same letters are not significantly different by the Kruskal-Wallis test with multiple comparisons (p > 0.05). For setup, see Fig. 1a
